· Working temperature: 0°C to 70°C

Distances
1. Wavelengths: the working wavelength of the multi-mode optical module is 850nm, and the working wavelength of the single-mode optical module is usually 1310nm and 1550nm.
2. Transmission distances: the longest transmission distance of 10G multi-mode optical modules does not exceed 300M, while the transmission distance of single-mode optical modules is generally above 10KM.
3. Light Sources: multi-mode optical modules use VCSEL lasers as light sources, and single-mode optical modules use DFB/EML lasers or DFB-LD lasers as light sources.
4. Fibers Type: multimode optical modules are used with multimode optical fibers, and single-mode optical modules are used with single-mode optical fibers.
5. Application Scenarios: multi-mode optical modules can only be used for short-distance transmission, suitable for internal interconnection of data centers, and single-mode optical modules are suitable for medium and long-distance metropolitan area network transmission.
